The DSCM was a joint project of the University of Tartu, Tartu University Hospital, and the University of Helsinki that aimed to improve the way PhD studies are organised.
The School held interdisciplinary seminars, workshops, and conferences, and develops new lecture courses. It also engaged lecturers from foreign universities and research institutions, and built partnership networks to bring theoretical studies and practical needs close together.
The DSCM aimed to integrate various specific fields of clinical medicine and to strengthen ties between their practitioners — from studies to diagnostics and treatment.
