On 7/10/13 foreign students visited the Tallinn University of Technology’s Center for Biorobotics to get an overview of the center’s main research themes. Students met with several doctoral students and researchers working at the Center. Each of them briefly showed what they are currently working on. Prof. Maarja Kruusmaa gave a presentation and showed the visitors a FILOSE fish – a robot fish that senses the flow around itself and reacts to the changes in the flow pattern. Also other implementations of biorobotics (underwater turtles, artificial kidneys etc) were demonstrated.
This event was supported by Estonian Research Council through European Union Regional Development Fund.
